Rajasthan Safari
Camel Safari
on the back of the most native guide? You may go for a short
safari through a typical Rajasthani village or a long-distance
expedition lasting a few days. The best times for travelling are
the cooler parts of the day, the mornings and evenings. The sights en route will captivate you and become a part of your most treasured memories. There may be barren land for as far as the eyes can see. The sea of yellow shimmering sand looks extraordinary. Closer to the village you can see herds of cattle and sheep roaming around purposelessly. Watch the children trotting off to school, while their mothers prepare their afternoon meal on a dung-fire. Stop over for a taste of the authentic Rajasthani food. The hospitable men and women will be at your service, eager to fulfill your every request.
Underneath the star-studded sky, you feel the cool desert breeze and wonder about life in the untamed countryside of this fascinating desert.

Horse Safari
The significance of horses for the Rajputs cannot be undermined. The royalty of Rajasthan, the charming and gallant Rajput kings, always traveled on horseback.
They
were said to be born with riding skills and their horses were
among their prized possessions. Horses were important for the
military and the many wars in Rajasthan's history were waged
on horseback. Are you game for an adventurous safari on the
back of this aristocratic animal? The Terrain and Time
Horse safaris are usually conducted in the scenic hilly territories and the beautiful forested plains near Udaipur, Ajmer or Samode as well as the sandy and rocky fields of Jaisalmer, the Shekhawati region or the Jodhpur area.
A Unique Experience
The
safari moves from one fort to another, following routes that
were once taken by the ancient armies. You will pass through
villages, ruins of historical monuments and beautiful temples.
As the evening progresses, the Dune Safari Camp, a blazing
bonfire and a hearty dinner await your arrival. On Looking Back…
Your adventures of the horse safari will be a unique and interesting experience. You will return home with a treasure of countless delightful memories
The
most regal way of seeing Rajasthan is on an elephant safari, since
nothing can even compare with the majesty of the pachyderm - no
wonder the rulers used elephants for their journeys.
Equipped with a howdah, a large seat on which they would sit,
complete with soft silk cushions, and with a ceremonial umbrella
over their heads, modern day safaris may pale in comparison, but
are no less regal on that account.
The elephant treads slowly and steadily, and a safari would be
ideal in and around principal towns, especially in the vicinity of
wildlife sanctuaries where the same elephants can do double-duty
for viewing wildlife.
Since an elephant safari is an elaborate affair, and requires many
attendants for the beast as well, such camps too tend to be more
lavish, and so these are best for incentive groups who can be
promised an experience, the like of which they are unlikely to
ever have elsewhere.
